Broadline Traditional (formerly Traditional) from BRIKclad is a mortared natural clay brick veneer that installs effortlessly like siding, blending the durability of clay with the convenience of installation in minutes With its refined square edge and matte textured face, Broadline Traditional offers rich, full-body color that won’t fade over time. It’s two-step installation makes it quick and easy to install. Add warmth and timeless character to any space with Broadline Traditional, a versatile, mechanically fastened clay brick. It effortlessly complements a variety of styles, from traditional to industrial to contemporary.

The BRIKclad System

The following system components are required for installation:

- BRIKclad Brick: Broadline Traditional
- Drainage Mat/Rainscreen: Ensures proper ventilation and drainage of the wall cavity
- Starter Angle: Stainless steel leveling strip used at the base of a wall and above window and door openings
- Butyl String: Waterproof caulking string tape designed to bond brick securely
- Fastening Clips & Screws: Stainless steel components designed to securely attach each brick. Use Traditional Fastening Clips & Screws, 1 clip and 1 screw per brick.
- Mortar: Applied by grout bag or grout gun, sold by 3rd party

  • Corners:
    BRIKclad does not require special corners as the same brick is used for the corners. There are 3 ways to install the corner detail depending on the preference and skill level:
    – Prominent Face corner
    – Lapped corner
    – Quirk Miter corner

It is important to always start installing BRIKclad at your lowest corner and building up your corners 1 to 2 rows and then filling in the brick in between the corners. Please refer to the BRIKclad Installation Guide for more information.
